50+ years inside healthcare facilities.
Not from the sidelines.
We are seasoned and successful physician leaders who have led the clinical, operational & financial teams, and rolled up our sleeves in times of crisis and growth.
Iridium Outcomes was born from experience—not theory—to help hospitals drive change that actually lasts.

We started Iridium because we witnessed the same story being repeated.
A bold new plan gets announced.
A few meetings happen.
A binder is left behind.
Then… nothing changes.
The strategy never makes it to the bedside. The teams feel like it’s “just another initiative.” And the leaders get blamed when the needle doesn’t move.
We created Iridium Outcomes to close the gap between strategy and execution while standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the people doing the work, from the boardroom to the bedside.
We’re not here to advise and vanish. We are here to stay, build trust, and help your people drive results that last. No matter where you are today, Iridium Outcomes prepares you for continuous success in the future.

Introducing Will and John
Outcome catalysts with over 50 years of combined experience in Health Care Systems

Dr. Will Daniel is a nationally recognized physician executive and quality leader known for delivering transformative clinical, operational, and cultural outcomes across complex, multi-hospital health systems. He currently serves as Vice President and Chief Quality Officer at UT Southwestern Medical Center, where he is also the William T. Solomon Professor in Clinical Quality Improvement and Professor of Internal Medicine, with enterprise responsibility for quality, safety, patient experience, operational excellence, and high-reliability transformation.
Previously, Dr. Daniel served as the inaugural Vice President and Chief Quality Officer for Saint Luke’s Health System in Kansas City, a ten-hospital integrated delivery system nationally recognized for performance excellence and the first hospital system to receive the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award®. In this role, he led systemwide quality, safety, and performance transformation efforts that produced nationally benchmarked outcomes and durable improvements in clinical reliability and value.
Across his career, Dr. Daniel has held senior executive and physician leadership roles spanning academic medical centers and community-based health systems. He has led large-scale clinical transformation initiatives focused on reducing mortality, eliminating unwarranted variation, improving patient experience, and strengthening operational and financial performance. His work consistently aligns frontline execution with enterprise strategy, producing measurable and sustained results.
Dr. Daniel has directed enterprise quality and safety programs that achieved significant reductions in serious safety events, hospital-acquired conditions, and sepsis-related mortality, while also improving length of stay, cost per case, and systemwide reliability. He has designed and deployed integrated analytics, Lean process improvement, and clinician-led governance models to hardwire performance improvement at scale.
He is also a national leader in advancing surgical safety through the implementation of OR Black Box technology across enterprise operating rooms. By deploying high-fidelity audio, video, and physiologic data capture at scale, Dr. Daniel enabled objective, system-level learning across approximately 54,000 surgical procedures. Through adoption of a just-culture “What Can We Learn” review model, teams shifted from individual blame to system reliability, strengthening teamwork and performance. This work contributed to more than 1,000 consecutive days without a retained foreign object, improved timeout and debrief reliability, and delivered measurable reductions in surgical mortality, length of stay, and ICU utilization—establishing national leadership in data-driven surgical safety.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Daniel served as Executive Commander of the UT Southwestern Medical Center Emergency Operations Center, overseeing pandemic response, workforce and patient safety, clinical operations, and the phased restoration of services across the academic health system. His leadership ensured continuity of care, rapid operational decision-making, and organizational resilience during an unprecedented period of disruption.
